I started off great last week, going 2-for-2 on Saturday. We knew that couldn’t last. I went 0-for-2 on Sunday. In my picks contest, I went 3-for-4 because I changed Atlanta to NYG at the last minute. Hopefully I fare better in the Divisional Playoffs.
Since everyone else is sharing their (wrong) picks and (bad) opinions on this weekends games, why can’t I? Fair warning though, my wrong picks are coming via iPhone, so autocorrect may pop up from time to time.
Rough weekend for yours truly as far as sportswatching goes. I had to work 8-8 Saturday and Sunday, and the only two games I got to see were the Phillies-Giants games one and two. I still have a lot of opinions on the weekend, but most of those opinions were formed thanks to reading ESPN.com or watching Sportscenter this morning. [...]
All three of us are back in the fold this week for the ERP Power Rankings, and as always, all of us have very different opinions on the NFL one-third of the way through the season. Put our very different rankings together, though, and you get a fairly accurate view of the NFL five weeks in. For the second week [...]
Only two opinions on the ERP Power Rankings this week, as Doozer is in the process of moving, as well as being swamped with work and attempting to salvage his fantasy football season, so he was unable to submit a list to us. So MIB & Sharkey sludge forth. And since the two of them don’t really see eye to [...]
Another week in the books, and we’re now down to only three remaining undefeated teams. For the guys of ERP, it was an unanimous decision on the number one team in the league (Pittsburgh), as well as an unanimous decision on the worst team in the league (Buffalo). The 30 teams between those two were full of disagreements. Indianapolis cracked [...]
Throw everything you learned in week one out the window. The Colts aren’t dead. The Giants & Redskins aren’t much improved. The Patriots & Ravens aren’t AFC favorites quite yet, and the Jets & Bengals aren’t quite ready to be written off. A lot changed in week two. Not everything changed, though. The Cowboys & Vikings are still very bad, [...]
Week One of the NFL season is in the books, so now ERP will debut our first Power Rankings of the season. We’ll post these every Wednesday. As can be expected, after only one week, everybody is all over the map. ManInBlack, Doozer, and myself gave our rankings, and judging by our individual polls, we don’t agree on anything. When [...]
If you’re like me, for the next 22 weeks, Monday mornings are miserable. You’re coming off a weekend of glorious football, and lord knows what else (for me, the weekend included a ridiculous amount of beer from Sam Adam’s Harvest Collection), and now you’re back at work. It’s a rough life. But, the good news is we’re only hours away [...]
Part Five of a Nine Part Series in which Sharkey and the ManInBlack preview the entire NFL Season, all the way through the Super Bowl. Today, the guys take a look at the AFC North. Sharkey Says: This is certainly one of the more interesting divisions in the league this season. One of the best, too. Can’t quite be the [...]
