In the first two weeks of the fantasy playoffs, 25 out of 32 people hit 700+ points. As I’ve said many times, scoring plummets significantly in the final two weeks. The winner in the Championship round got only 676 total points.
Michael Tinney came up big in the Divisional Round by using the honor system, and admitting that I screwed up his score. I incorrectly awarded him the win in the Divisional Round, when Ed Paff Jr actually won the week. Tinney bounced right back in the Conference Championships, and won the week.
Aaron Liber remains in first place overall despite never winning a week. Jim Burton is hot on his tail, only 17 points behind him. Liber has already used Tom Brady, so while he’s a Patriots fan he’ll start Eli Manning in the Super Bowl. He’s also already used Rob Gronkowski. To make things interesting, Burton has already started Eli Manning, so he’ll start Tom Brady. He’s also already used Ahmad Bradshaw & Hakeem Nicks. Michael Tinney is in third place, only 100 points behind. He’s already used Tom Brady, Ahmad Bradshaw, Rob Gronkowski, and Victor Cruz. Keeping things interesting in 4th place is Stella, who has used Manning & Nicks, but has every RB and every other WR/TE available.
Andrew Burbank, Matt Burbank, Ed Paff Jr., Matt McGinley, and Jeff Reynolds are within 50 points of each other in the battle to crack the Top 5. The two Kevins, Johnson & myself, are within 90 points of each other for the final Top 10 spot. And Brian Mills is within 400 points of Ryan Tiemeyer in the race to not finish dead last. Of course, Mills has already used Tom Brady & Eli Manning in an attempt to cement himself as a fantasy moron.

I’ll start posting reminders in a week to get your picks in before the Super Bowl.
And I’m considering doing a 17-week fantasy league like this next season. Maybe expand it to 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR per week. With this spreadsheet its super easy for me to keep track of. Hopefully this is something people will be interested in. We’ll see. I think it could be fun. I’ll bring it back up in mid-August.
Go Giants.

The idea of a full season with these general rules sounds great. Maybe get to use each player twice instead of just once if so? Just a thought.
