This week’s UDC goes out to my favorite drinking holiday.  The warm weather is now here to stay.  The Dos XX goes down smoother.  Just the title in Spanish though.  I can’t translate anything else.

#17 -  The Island green.  TPC Sawgrass.  Even if you don’t watch golf, chances are you recognize the 17th green.  You may not know the course, but you’ve seen the picture.  This week is one of my more favorite venues on the PGA Tour.  I often sit and wonder just how many shots it would take me.  The record for most balls hit in the 4′ deep water in one round is 50, set in 2007.  The fans cheer when the players hit it IN the water.  That’s brutal.  I love it.  It’s up.

Detroit Red Wings – What can I say?  I’m critical of the PK and they shut the Coyotes down.  I applaud their play shorthanded, and they can’t stay out of the penalty box.  I’m certainly not one to blame the officiating, but I’ll say this; I have often mistaken the Sharks for the Italian National Team.  That said, anyway you look at it, the 5 on 3s kill you in the playoffs.  When the other team gets the game 3 OT winner off an incredibly sloppy line change, you know it just won’t be your year.  They’re down.  I’m down.

Philadelphia idiots – Who is dumber, 17-year old Steven Consalvi or 34-year old Thomas Betz.  Consalvi called his dad and said he was going to do it.  His dad told him it probably wasn’t a good idea.  He did it anway.  Betz, after (I’m sure) watching Consalvi do it the night before and subsequently getting himself tasered,  decides to do it the night after.  Oh, and Bentz was found to be in possession of drugs.  Did he really think he could take that joint to jail?  You can blame one on being a dumb kid.  You can blame the other on just being stupid.  Either way, they’re both clowns.
